Year 5 and Year 6 have had a fantastic first day in Colomendy. We all arrived in glorious Welsh sunshine and had a tour of the site before being shown to our accommodation. As is traditional the making of the beds proved for many to be the first challenge of the residential.
After a hot lunch we got straight on to activities ranging from lazer quest to zip wire. Activities continued as the sun set and the outdoor lights were turned on. The evening meal was a roast dinner which was very well received as the evening has become a little chilly - but the clear sky means the children have been treated to a display of stars we just don't get in Liverpool.
Year 6 are currently enjoying the campfire before they have hot chocolate and Year 5 are at the 'Spotlight' challenge - showing off their talents.
Lots of tired faces about so hopefully it will be a quiet night.
