How you can support learning at home...

Reading books go home on a Thursday for 2HS and a Friday for 2HY for you to listen to your child read. Please make sure their book and reading record are returned to school the following week so that we can listen to your child read and update their reading book if necessary. Homework will be sent home on a Friday and is due back by the following Thursday. You can also support your children through practising their spellings at home. You can find the Year 2 spellings on the Year 2 page on our school’s website.

There are a number of helpful websites which you can also visit to further support your child’s learning:

KS1 SATs

This year children will be taking their first SATs exams, and although this may seem daunting, there is no need to panic. The SATs will take place in May and though there is no specific date set thus far, they often happen the week after KS2 SATs. Throughout the year we will be making sure that all children will be prepared for the May exams through practice tests which can be found here:  http://www.satspapers.org.uk/Page.aspx?TId=4
