This procedure, set up under the terms of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 as amended by subsequent legislation is available to all parents / carers whose child has not been allocated a place in their preferred school. If you are appealing against a decision in an academy, trust, foundation or voluntary aided school you will need to contact the school for information on their appeals procedure.

Up until September all admissions waiting lists and queries sit with the Local Authority, please contact them with any concerns or wishes to be on our waiting list.
Places which become available in oversubscribed schools will be offered to the next eligible child on the waiting list drawn up for each school, from the original preferences expressed by the parent/carer. An applicant's position on the waiting list is determined by the admission policy for the school. If your child has been offered a higher preference school, their name will be taken off the waiting list for lower preference schools. The waiting lists for other schools will be held in accordance with the admission policies determined by the school governors as detailed in the school admissions booklets.
